Bodrum

Highlights:

1- Very few Turkish people speak English – Get ready for some sign language.

2- Bodrum is a big Port City – Plan your trip in advance to avoid being lost getting lost.

3- If you love Meat – You will Love the food.

4- Bodrum – never sleeps.

5- You can buy a SIM card and activate your BB for 45TL.

6- The weather is dry with very low humidity during July.

7- Bodrum is about Gumbet – Bodrum Marina – Bitez – Turkbuku – Yalikavak – and other area’s we haven’t tapped.

Doria Hotel: located in Gumbet. Very cute, clean, nice sea view, and friendly staff. Except for the STEEP hill but think of it as a good work out ๐Ÿ™‚

Bronze Corner that was close to our hotel to watch the EuroCup Football Games.

Bitez – Must see in my opinion.

Walk the street of Betiz and enjoy the colorful beaches.

Choose the shore you favor the most and enjoy the Sunshine.

This was our favorite spot.

Relax and tan on a Hammock.

I am not sure if it is coincidence, or if a single shoe lying around corners is something cultural and significant.

Continue walking towards the end of Betiz to find more beautiful scenery.

2 trees planted next to each other to form one beautiful looking tree. Loved it – Have a Doner (in Arabic – Shawerma) for lunch, it is very delicious.

Creative? Now this garden that belongs to a resident in Betiz blew our minds away.

Make sure you reach Sarnic in Betiz.. My very favorite…

Watch the magical mountains facing Sernic, the colors keep changing according to the shadows and the sunlight. **They are not called magical mountain

Wind-surfing is also very popular.

Drink Chai (Tea)

Partying in Marina Bodrum: Fink , Vittoria and Kuba.

Turkbuku is luxury… Pass by Kuum Hotel

Take the sea taxi in Turkubuku to “MacaKizi”

At Maca Kizi – Splurge with Luxury, and enjoy the beautiful sun deck that over looks the magical mountains.

Very relaxing sun beds.

Stay at Maca Kizi for sunset and go out to Ship ahoy or 29 in Torkubuku.

Try to pass by Turkbuku downtown for some hand made Turkish goods.

Yalikavak is also a very nice area, take the bus, or a taxi. It takes around half an hour to an hour to reach from one area to the other.

Xuma Beach is very popular in Yalikavak.

Have lunch at their exquisite lounge

What is outstanding about Xuma Beach, is the greenery around their beach and the big sun deck in the middle of the sea.
