Fashion Reflex: Cozy and cuddle just like a cocoon

Winter is beautiful, for it brings forth the essence of staying in, of holding indoor cozy dinners and gatherings. Winter brings you closer to family; it brings out the feeling of romance and dance. I personally love the sound of rain, thunder and wind, and I love watching the lightning and the snow.

The one thing I don’t enjoy about winter is feeling cold, and therefore I am used to layer myself up with fabrics. I wear 2 or 3 pairs of pants sometimes 2 pair of socks and at least 4 pairs of upper wear. It might sound a little crazy but really, this is the only way I feel warm and enjoy my winter season. What has become more fun about layering is that designers are making layers look obvious and trendy. Below are my favorite layering looks from the fall winter 2014/2015 collections by designers like Paul smith, Tory Burch, Viktor & Rolf, Edun, Max Mara, and many more.

There is nothing better than an escape somewhere far away from home, somewhere far away from familiarity, a different language, new faces, a different feel to the ground, different dishes… a new place on Earth.

We think we are familiar with this world, until we step foot into new locations where we witness incredible amount of enjoyment just by the feeling of there is enough for all of us, and there is more to what we think there is, and no it is never greener on the other side, it just is different. Here are some photos of one of my favorite destinations, a destination I recommend for romance, for family reunion, for fun with friends, or even for self discovery. The Amalfi Coast south of Italy is a must visit, an incredible coast which consists of several small cities one after the other, a great drive, beautiful souls, and the most breathtaking nature view you can ever encounter. Morning Diary 24 – A love affair in between the old streets of Barcelona

Day 7

Always leave the best for last, although sometimes it also isn’t the best thing to do given the nature of life and how unpredictable things are, but gladly I must say, today was fantastic. Started my day with my cousin Darine, biking to the beach sight to watch the sunrise, returned my gorgeous bicycle and started my walk between my favorite streets in Barcelona. Starting point was Gracia, to send most of my time in my favorite area taking it down to Sagrada Familia, down to the center of Catalina, Ramblas, Gottica and El Born. Getting lost between streets, finding incredible finds, and the deepest jewels are always in the lowest bottom end of the ocean, so you got to keep digging until you find shops, people, and wisdom that you will always and forever remember. This life we live in, if it is lived without art surrounding us, then it truly is missing out on the best there is. Don’t settle down for less than the art you enjoy, the art you connect with, the art you can use to speak for you. Art is in everything.

When it is time to say goodbye, it is also time to listen to songs you relate to and sing them out loud: Riding through the city on my bike all day cause the filth took away my license It doesn’t get me down and I feel okay Cause the sights that I’m seeing are priceless. When you step into a city, where everywhere you look, looks beautiful, you realize that art is truly in everything.
